| Why did you want to work at 3L Care?In my previous job I was helping young people with learning difficulties get to and from school. I loved the interaction and when I saw an opportunity to work more closely with this group of people, I jumped at it. What is the best thing about your job?The positive energy that everyone brings to work makes 3L Care a unique place to be for both staff and visitors. Spending my day surrounded by smiles and laughter is fantastic, and being allowed the time to interact one-to-one with our young adults is a real privilege. People come here to relax, have fun and unwind – supported by a team that really cares about them. Working at a place of so much love and kindness is amazing. Tell us about a typical working day…My job is to make sure our young adults have fun. How great is that! Some days we’ll watch a film in the cinema, others we’ll get to work in the arts and crafts room or go for a walk in the park. It’s very much about what the young people feel like doing. Sometimes they might just want to watch TV, listen to music or have a chat so that’s exactly what we do. I love learning about the people in my care and the best way to do that is by spending some real quality time with them. What does ‘Live Love Laugh’ mean to you?It means exactly what it says: embracing the essence of those three little words every moment of every day. Tell us two lies and one truth about yourself…I once had a snake in my car. I love doing housework. I hate walking. |
