Why did you want to work at 3L Care?

After 12 years as a legal secretary I wanted a change of scenery. From working in a very stressful environment to one where the atmosphere itself is important was a fantastic change and a real breath of fresh air. At 3L care I can use my skills and experience to help young people and their families. 

What is the best thing about your job?

It is definitely the team at 3L Care. They are such a lovely group of people. Everyone works hard to do the best they can for the people in our care while managing to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere. When parents phone up to enquire or make a booking I’m often the first person they speak to. Being able to provide encouragement for parents who want the very best for their children is amazingly rewarding. Seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they arrive and how impressed they are with the facilities always makes me proud to work here.

Tell us about a typical working day…

Two days are never the same but I deal with everything from payroll to invoices and reservations. I also liaise parents and co-ordinate clinical queries that need input from the nursing staff, and generally help with anything that needs doing around the office. 3L care is very hands-on and there is never a dull moment! 

What does ‘Live, Love, Laugh’ mean to you?

I think we could all benefit from adopting this approach to life especially at a time when many people are worried about the future. It’s about not forgetting the simple things in life that make all the difference.
