Information for social workers

3L Care work closely with Social Workers andunderstand the demands of the role. Our aim is to ensure that we can work together with you to meet the needs of the children and young people we care for and their families. We provide nursing homes specifically for children and young adults with complex health needs and/or learning disabilities. Nursing care is provided on a 24 hour basis.

The children and young people that stay with us may have a variety of nursing and social care needs. Our staff are trained in areas such as the use of oxygen, suction,catheterisation, rescue medication for seizure management, administration of medicine, gastrostomy, naso-gastric feeding and tracheostomy care andresuscitation.

We have staff that are Registered Children's Nurses, Registered General Nurses and fully trained carers with NVQ3 in Children and Young People. All staff undergo a rigorous vetting process and are CRB and POVA checked and references are sought before working with us.

Every 3L Care home is CQC and, where appropriate, OFSTED registered and has a Registered Manager who is supported by appropriately qualified and experienced staff, who can respond promptly and flexibly to the provision of individually tailored packages of support and care that meets the needs of our children and young people and their families. This allows us to support Social Workers by being able to respond to emergency referrals.

Because we operate homes for both Children as well as Young Adults we can also assist with the planning for transition from child to adult services to make the process as easy as possible for all concerned and ensure continuity of care.
